On July 11th, the government of Bekasi County held the 2019 Bekasi County Employment Expand Policy Seminar in the Cooperation Zone (special session on China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone). This activity is organized by the Bekaxi County Labor Bureau, the cooperation zone company and the park enterprise Weimed Technology Center undertook. The person in charge of the cooperation zone attended the meeting upon invitation.

At the meeting, Eddie Loiyadi, Director of the Bureau of Labor in Bekasi County, introduced the current situation of human resources in Bekasi County to the participants. He pointed out that the investment environment in Indonesia has improved greatly in recent years. Bekasi County is adjacent to the capital Jakarta and has become the largest industrial cluster in Indonesia and even Southeast Asia. In 2018, Bekasi County had more than 1.76 million jobs, but attracted only about 1.4 million workers, with an acute shortage of human resources. He called on enterprises in the region to give priority to the use of local labor, strengthen communication and coordination with the government, and let the government know the demand for relevant labor in real-time, so as to expand employment opportunities. At the same time, Eddy thanked the cooperation zone's active cooperation, highly appreciated the cooperation zone's contribution to the locals, and was very optimistic about the prospects of the cooperation zone.

The person in charge of the cooperation zone said that the government of Bekaxi County has taken the cooperation zone as a propaganda point to show its trust and affirmation to the cooperation zone. The cooperation zone is willing to actively cooperate with the local government to expand local employment and make contributions to the local economic and social development. More than 30 enterprises in the cooperation zone attended the meeting.
