China-Indonesia Technology Matching Promotion Conference Concludes Successfully
On October 23, 2019, the 2019 China–Indonesia Technology Matching and Promotion Conference was successfully held at the Tangerang International Convention and Exhibition Center in Indonesia, co-hosted by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Indonesian Academy of Sciences, the China–ASEAN Technology Transfer Center, and the Science and Technology Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
This technology promotion conference aims to further encourage Chinese technology-driven institutions and enterprises to “go global,” facilitate the alignment of China’s competitive technologies and products with Indonesia’s needs, and attract investment from Chinese and other foreign companies in the Indonesian market. The China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, as China’s first overseas economic and trade cooperation zone established in Indonesia and the first national-level such zone undertaken by Guangxi, received high praise and an invitation to participate in the event. At the conference, Chen Feixia, General Manager of the Cooperation Zone, provided a detailed overview of the zone’s background and planning, the progress of Phase I development, and the promising outlook for Phase II, which is slated to break ground soon. She engaged in in-depth exchanges with representatives from various sectors and garnered enthusiastic responses from numerous business leaders. The 2019 China–Indonesia Technology Matching Promotion Conference played a positive role in further enhancing the reputation and standing of the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone within Indonesia’s business environment, thereby attracting greater attention from foreign investors.
Attending the promotion event were Qian Jian, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Mo Bingyun, Director of the Division for Science and Technology Supervision and Integrity Building of the same department; as well as representatives from various government departments and business enterprises.
