Park Overview
The China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (Kawasan Industri Terpadu Indonesia China (KITIC)) is the first state-level overseas economic and trade cooperation zone set up by China in Indonesia, integrating industrial production, warehousing, logistics and trade. It is also the first overseas economic and trade cooperation window park set up by Guangxi.
KITIC is located in greater Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, in the center of the Jakarta-Jakan Economic Belt, an industrial corridor in the east of Jakarta. KITIC was established in 2008 and invested by Guangxi State-Owned Capital Operation Group Co., Ltd. It is 37 kilometers away from Jakarta, 60 kilometers away from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, 50 kilometers away from Jakarta's international port Tanjung Priok Harbor, and less than 100 kilometers away from Indonesia's second-largest city Bandung. The Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Railway is 37 kilometers away from the entrance and exits nearby, and the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway under construction has a station near the cooperation zone. The industrial corridor where KITIC is located gathers many well-known enterprises from China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and other countries and regions, such as SAIC-GM-Wuling, Haier, Toyota, Mitsubishi, with obvious industrial cluster effect.
In August 2016, the Cooperation Zone successfully passed the verification and assessment conducted by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the Ministry of Finance. It stands as one of only 20 overseas economic and trade cooperation zones worldwide to receive this joint confirmation. Notably, it is the sole comprehensive overseas economic and trade cooperation park in Indonesia established by Guangxi to have achieved this status.
