Foreign Economic Cooperation Company Holds Symposium with Beijing Investment Environmental Protection and Water Services Group
On February 17, Luo Shidong, General Manager of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Company of Guangxi Agricultural Reclamation Group, together with six other officials—including Chen Yaomin, Deputy General Manager of the same company and Chairman and General Manager of China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone Co., Ltd.—held talks with a delegation led by Jiang Jianyi, General Manager of Guangxi Beitou Environmental Protection and Water Services Group (hereinafter referred to as Beitou Environmental Protection and Water Services Group), regarding water services cooperation under Phase II of the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone project.
Luo Shidong briefed the guests on the reform and development of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Company over the past few years, as well as the company’s three core business areas under its “One Zone, One Station, One Trade” strategy. He noted that the company operates overseas in both Russia and Indonesia, with the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone in Indonesia being among the first batch of overseas economic and trade parks in China to receive national certification. He expressed hope for further communication and exchanges with Beijing Investment Water Group, with a view to identifying areas of synergy and entry points for cooperation, leveraging each party’s strengths while mitigating weaknesses, and thereby fostering mutually beneficial collaboration.
Chen Yaomin briefed the guests on the construction and development of the Cooperation Zone, with a particular focus on the preliminary work for Phase II of the zone. He expressed his hope that Beijing Investment Environmental Protection and Water Services Group would provide valuable professional advice on the infrastructure development of Phase II, especially regarding the zone’s water supply and drainage plans.
Jiang Jianyi provided an overview of Beijing Investment Environmental Protection and Water Services Group. He stated that the Group is a key state-owned, region-level specialized platform for environmental protection and water services investment and operations under Beijing Investment Group, with a focus on the investment, construction, and operational management of water supply and wastewater treatment projects. The Group is committed to promoting the sustainable development of the socio-economic system and environmental resources. Currently, in response to the national call and seizing the historic opportunity presented by the signing of the RCEP agreement, the Group is actively exploring opportunities to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative. It hopes to strengthen communication and exchanges with the Cooperation Zone, enhance mutual trust, and achieve mutually beneficial development.
Zhou Minghui, Chief Accountant of Beitou Environmental Protection and Water Services Group, along with representatives from relevant departments and subsidiaries of both sides, attended the symposium.
Chen Yaomin, Chairman and General Manager of China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone Co., Ltd., and Li Jifeng, Deputy General Manager of the same company, accompanied the delegation to the symposium.
