Indonesian Launch Event for the English Edition of Volume V of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” Successfully Held in Jakarta
On April 28, the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, in collaboration with the China International Publishing Group, successfully hosted a promotional event for the English-language edition of Volume V of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” in Indonesia. The event was attended and addressed by Muzani, Speaker of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly; Iftitah, Minister for Population Mobility; Chang Bo, Director of the China International Publishing Group; and Ambassador Wang Lutong. Nearly 300 representatives from the publishing industry, think tanks, academia, and the media in both China and Indonesia took part in the event.
Ambassador Wang Lutong stated that “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” systematically presents the evolutionary trajectory and core essence of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, serving as a “golden key” for the world to gain a deeper understanding of China and offering fresh insights and inspiration for the development of China–Indonesia relations. China and Indonesia will join hands to demonstrate the regional and global influence of their community with a shared future, thus writing a new chapter of self-reliance, solidarity, cooperation, and mutual benefit among major developing countries.
The promotional event also invited representatives of participants in the Indonesian “Village Chief Program” hosted by the embassy to share their experiences studying in China, as well as facilitated exchanges between scholars from both countries on their reading insights.
