Counselor Shi Ziming stated that the recent inspection and exchange visit by the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia to the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone was aimed at conducting on-site assessments of the development and workplace safety of Chinese-invested enterprises in Indonesia during the pandemic, with the goal of gaining a concrete understanding of these companies’ needs. Counselor Shi commended the Cooperation Zone for the support policies it has implemented for resident enterprises during the pandemic, the achievements it has attained, and the tremendous potential for the development of Phase II of the project. He expressed the hope that, in its future development, the Cooperation Zone will remain true to its original mission, continue to provide robust services to ensure workplace safety for resident enterprises, and further enhance value-added services for these enterprises. As an overseas park under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Cooperation Zone should leverage the advantages of its state-owned controlling shareholder background to attract more high-quality enterprises to locate within the zone. The Embassy, for its part, will faithfully collect and convey the needs of enterprises, serving as a strong backing for Chinese-invested firms in Indonesia and helping them achieve even greater success in the country.
