Entrepreneurial Delegation of the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce Visits and Inspects the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone
On December 20, the All-China Federation of Chinese Chambers of Commerce in Indonesia (hereinafter referred to as the Chinese Chamber of Commerce) organized its member enterprises to visit and inspect the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as the Cooperation Zone), where they examined the zone’s construction and development. The delegation also conducted in-depth visits to Chinese-invested enterprises within the zone, including Xidian Sko Co., Ltd., Mengniu Dairy Indonesia Co., Ltd., and Wuling Motors Indonesia Co., Ltd., to gain first-hand insights into the operations and production activities of Chinese companies in Indonesia.
The delegation was led by Yao Yongjian, President of the Agricultural Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce and General Manager of New Hope Indonesia. The head of the Cooperation Zone warmly welcomed the Chinese business delegation. At the Cooperation Zone’s office building, staff provided a detailed briefing on the zone’s development history, investment promotion efforts, and future plans. Throughout the visit, the head of the Cooperation Zone accompanied the delegation on tours of several Chinese-invested enterprises located within the zone, including Xidian Sko, Mengniu Dairy Indonesia, and Wuling Motors Indonesia.
Yao Yongjian and entrepreneurs from the Chinese Chamber of Commerce expressed sincere admiration for the achievements made in the development and construction of the Cooperation Zone and its resident enterprises. Many of them sought detailed information on the procedures and requirements for entering the zone, demonstrating a strong interest in investing there.
This event is one of the China Chamber of Commerce’s annual series of activities, organized by the General Association of the China Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia and implemented by its Agriculture Branch. The General Association comprises Chinese-funded enterprises operating in Indonesia and currently has more than 200 members. The delegation for this event consists of approximately 60 individuals, including regional heads from well-known Chinese companies such as China Mobile, Bank of China, ZTE, and Huawei. The event has effectively promoted and showcased the cooperation zone, which will help attract more Chinese enterprises to invest in the zone going forward.
