A Delegation of Enterprises from the Renewable Metals Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Conducts a Fact-Finding Visit to the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone
On the afternoon of December 11, a delegation of enterprises with overseas presence and investment cooperation aspirations, organized by the Renewable Metals Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, visited and inspected the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, where they were warmly received by the zone’s management.
Staff from the Cooperation Zone provided the association delegation with a detailed briefing on the zone’s development and construction, its locational advantages, and its investment promotion efforts. Wang Jiwu, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Association for Recycling Metals, expressed full appreciation for the development of the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone and commended Guangxi Agricultural Reclamation Group for its strategic vision. He noted that the delegation on this visit is primarily composed of representatives from China’s domestic secondary nonferrous metals industry, who have a strong interest in the Indonesian market and are keen to leverage Indonesia’s resources to establish a nonferrous metals processing industrial park there. The purpose of the visit is to gain a deeper understanding of Indonesia’s policies and industrial development, seize the opportunity presented by the national-level Belt and Road Initiative–endorsed project of building such an industrial park, and identify suitable sites in Indonesia for joint development and construction of a nonferrous metals processing industrial park.
The delegation included leaders of well-known enterprises in the nonferrous metals industry. During the fact-finding visit, the business leaders expressed keen interest in the cooperation zone, engaging in in-depth discussions on Indonesia’s investment policies, land prices, and policies related to investing in and establishing facilities in the recycled nonferrous metals sector. They also presented their proposed master plans for a nonferrous metals industrial park within the cooperation zone.
