On 18 August 2020, the seminar "Hong Kong-Indonesia: Building Business Opportunities Together" was held online. The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR Government Carrie Lam, Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Mahendra Siregar, Special Commissioner Xie Feng of the Hong Kong Office of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, and Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotenttiary to Indonesia Xiao Qian attended the speech. The event attracted more than 900 business leaders and professionals from Hong Kong and Indonesia to attend the event online.

The China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone was invited as the guest speaker to introduce the situation of the park, and had a positive discussion with Hong Kong entrepreneurs on investment in the park.

The seminar aims to promote economic and investment exchanges between Hong Kong and Indonesia, and enhance exchanges and docking between the two places on trade, investment, professional services, science and technology and other fields. At present, overseas industrial parks have increasingly become an important platform for China-Indonesia economic and trade cooperation. The seminar is dedicated to the theme of industrial parks in Indonesia. As the first national comprehensive industrial park integrating industrial production, storage and trade set up by China in Indonesia, the China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone was invited to attend the meeting and introduced the development situation of the zone and its distinctive and advantageous services. As an important platform for Chinese enterprises (including Hong Kong-invested enterprises) to invest and do business in Indonesia, the Cooperation Zone deeply explores the Indonesian market, constantly improves various services, and sincerely welcomes entrepreneurs from all over the world to go abroad together for win-win cooperation. At the meeting, Hong Kong entrepreneurs showed great interest in investment in the park. Representatives of the cooperation zone interacted with Hong Kong entrepreneurs on the negative list of investment, company establishment, Indonesian tax, one-stop service and so on.
