Notice on COVID-19 Vaccination for Chinese Citizens in Indonesia

Chinese Embassy in Indonesia: Safe Journey to Indonesia – The Day Before Yesterday

Based on our embassy’s previous survey of Chinese citizens in Indonesia regarding their willingness to receive COVID-19 vaccinations, the “Spring Bud” vaccination campaign will be officially launched in Indonesia in the coming days, with the All-Indonesia Chinese Chamber of Commerce serving as the lead organizer and implementing body. The specific arrangements are as follows:

I. Eligible Recipients: Chinese citizens residing in Indonesia who are aged 18 or above and hold a valid Chinese passport (mainland residents). Applications for this program will be processed through the All-Indonesia Chinese Chamber of Commerce, while arrangements for compatriots from Hong Kong and Taiwan will be made separately.

II. Vaccine Type: Sinopharm Inactivated COVID-19 Vaccine

III. Vaccination Costs: The total cost for the two-dose vaccine and service fees is IDR 879,140.

IV. Vaccination Arrangements

(1) Payment: Please complete payment in advance via bank transfer or other methods. The Chamber of Commerce will remit the funds to the designated Indonesian entity on your behalf, and no refunds will be issued.

(2) Appointment: Scan the QR code below to access the “Vaccination Registration Mini-Program,” where you will complete your personal information, select a vaccination site, upload proof of payment, and read and agree to the Vaccination Informed Consent Form. Once your application is approved by the backend system, you will receive a text message with details of your scheduled vaccination.

(3) Vaccination: Individuals shall, in accordance with the text message notification, personally visit the designated vaccination site with a valid Chinese passport to receive the vaccine; the interval between the two doses is 21 days.

(4) After completing the first and second doses of the vaccine, please log in to the mini-program promptly to upload your vaccination information.

(5) Upon completion of the two-dose vaccination series, the vaccination site will provide a paper vaccination certificate (relevant Indonesian government authorities are currently exploring the issuance of an electronic version).

V. Payment Methods

Please remit the vaccination fee of IDR 879,140 to the following account: Account Holder: PERKUMPULAN CHINA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN INDONESIA; Bank: Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, Jakarta Branch; Account Number: 100 000 900 826 237. Upon completion of payment, please take a clear photo of the payment receipt and upload it to the “Vaccination Registration Mini-Program.”

VI. Registration Methods

Please use WeChat to scan the QR code above and enter the “Vaccination Registration Mini-Program.” Based on your actual personal circumstances, carefully complete the personal information form, select a vaccination site, upload your payment receipt, and read and agree to the Vaccination Informed Consent Form. (Chinese citizens who have previously registered their vaccination intent will have other information automatically populated by the system after entering their passport number on the registration page; please review and confirm this information.)

VII. Vaccination Locations

The “Spring Bud” vaccination campaign has currently established 13 vaccination sites across Indonesia, including the Jakarta Capital Special Region, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, Central Java, East Java, North Maluku, Riau Islands, North Sumatra, South Sumatra, and Bali. Please make your selection on the “Vaccination Registration Mini-Program” interface. Once your information has been submitted, the mini-program will display the WeChat group QR code for your selected vaccination site; be sure to scan the code to join the group, as vaccine-related information will be posted there.

I. Payee Information:

II. Payment Amount

In accordance with the Indonesian government’s regulations, the vaccination fee is IDR 879,140 per person for two doses, payable in a single lump sum.

III. Payment Channels

1. Payment via bank transfer: Please use the payer’s bank’s online banking, mobile banking, or in-person counter services to complete the payment.

2. ATM Transfers: Please use an Indonesian debit card to access the “TRANSFER” function on any bank’s ATM, enter the recipient’s account number and other required details, and input “069” as the BANK CODE.

3. Cash Payment: If you do not have an Indonesian bank account, you may make your payment at the Bank of China branches in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Medan. Due to the government’s strict restrictions on gatherings in public spaces, please make a telephone appointment in advance (details of addresses and phone numbers are provided at the end of this document).

IV. Other Notes

1. For your convenience, you may authorize another person to make the payment on your behalf.

2. Payments can be consolidated (but proof of payment must still be uploaded for each individual).

3. Bank deposit slips, screenshots of online/mobile banking transactions, and ATM receipt slips can all be uploaded as supporting documents.
