China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone Conducts Eid al-Fitr Visits
May 12–13, 2021, marked Eid al-Fitr, an important traditional festival in Indonesia. This year was particularly unusual, as the global pandemic continued to rage and countries around the world were engaged in intensive efforts to combat it. In light of the severe shortages of food and daily necessities faced by impoverished residents in villages surrounding the cooperation zone as Eid approached, the zone, while steadfastly maintaining rigorous epidemic prevention and control measures, also actively fulfilled its social responsibility. On May 7, in coordination with the local government, the zone organized a慰问 (comfort) visit to local villagers, providing assistance to help them celebrate Eid al-Fitr. Through these outreach activities, the zone has continuously strengthened cooperation and communication with the local government and neighboring villagers, working together to fight the pandemic and overcome this challenging period.
The village chief, on behalf of all villagers, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Cooperation Zone’s benevolent initiative, while local government departments and relevant agencies also highly commended the Zone’s efforts to improve the livelihoods of nearby residents.

Figures 2 and 3: The Cooperation Zone and the Lushang International Industrial Center jointly procured condolence gifts and delivered them to the village committee, where the village chief accepted the gifts on behalf of the villagers.
