China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone Conducts Eid al-Adha Welfare Visits
July 20, 2021, marked Eid al-Adha, one of Indonesia’s most important traditional festivals. While the pandemic has been relentless, human compassion endures. In the lead-up to Eid al-Adha, recognizing that impoverished residents in villages surrounding the cooperation zone have been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in acute shortages of food and daily necessities, the cooperation zone, while steadfastly maintaining rigorous epidemic prevention and control measures, has also actively fulfilled its social responsibility. On July 18, the zone, in collaboration with resident enterprises, organized a慰问 (comfort) visit to local villagers, aiming to help them celebrate Eid al-Adha. Through these outreach activities, the cooperation zone and its resident companies have further strengthened their cooperation and exchanges with neighboring villagers, working together to combat the pandemic and overcome this challenging period.
The village chief, on behalf of all villagers, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the benevolent initiatives undertaken by the Cooperation Zone and the enterprises located within it. Local government departments and relevant agencies also highly commended the Cooperation Zone and these enterprises for their efforts to improve the livelihoods of nearby residents.
