Wei Yu, Deputy Director of the Guangxi Foreign Affairs Office, and his delegation conducted an inspection and research visit to the Cooperation Zone.
On December 13, a six-member inspection delegation from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, led by Wei Yu, Deputy Director of the office, visited the Cooperation Zone for an on-site inspection and research tour, during which they were warmly hosted by the zone’s leadership.
Accompanied by the head of the Cooperation Zone, Wei Yu and his delegation visited the Cooperation Zone’s office building and gained a thorough understanding of the Zone’s development history. At the office building, representatives of the Cooperation Zone held a symposium with the Guangxi Foreign Affairs Office’s inspection delegation, during which they provided a detailed briefing on the Zone’s current situation. During the meeting, the head of the Cooperation Zone expressed gratitude for the longstanding strong support the Guangxi Foreign Affairs Office has extended to the Zone. Subsequently, he gave Wei Yu and his delegation a comprehensive overview of the Zone’s development background, construction and progress, as well as the strategic vision for Phase II of the Zone—namely, the creation of a “smart” industrial park. In addition, the head of the Cooperation Zone made a request to the delegation, urging the Foreign Affairs Office to provide more comprehensive and robust consular services for the Zone’s staff, to establish information-sharing channels for Guangxi enterprises seeking to expand overseas, and to continue offering multifaceted attention and support to the Cooperation Zone in the future.
Deputy Director Wei Yu stated that the Guangxi Foreign Affairs Office’s visit to Indonesia this time is aimed at conducting a special research study on the Guangxi Action Plan for the China–ASEAN Strategic Partnership Vision 2030. After gaining an in-depth understanding of the development of the cooperation zone, Deputy Director Wei expressed strong recognition of the achievements made by Guangxi Agricultural Reclamation in its “going global” efforts. He noted that the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone has now become a highly mature, internationally oriented economic and trade cooperation park, and emphasized that these accomplishments were hard-earned. The delegation will carefully listen to and compile the requests put forward by the cooperation zone, with a view to providing better services and support for key Guangxi enterprises and international cooperation involving overseas parks.
