China Railway Construction Corporation Delegation Conducts Inspection and Research Visit to the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone
On December 6, a delegation from China Railway Construction Corporation, led by Zhu Xiaogang, General Manager of the Asset Management Company of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, visited the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as the “Cooperation Zone”) for an inspection and research tour, where they were warmly received by the zone’s management.
At the Cooperation Zone’s office building, representatives of the Cooperation Zone provided the delegation with a detailed briefing and held a symposium. During the symposium, the head of the Cooperation Zone delivered a comprehensive report and presentation on the zone’s development background, its evolution, its investment attraction achievements, as well as the strategic vision for transforming Phase II into a “smart” industrial park and the progress of Phase II projects.
After listening to a briefing on the development of the Cooperation Zone, members of the delegation engaged in lively discussions with representatives of the Zone. Zhu Xiaogang fully commended the achievements the Cooperation Zone has made over the years and stated that the delegation’s visit served two main purposes: first, to gain an in-depth understanding of the Zone’s development and to exchange views on the construction and operation of industrial parks; and second, to thoroughly explore the development strategy and profit model for Phase II of the Cooperation Zone project, with the hope that China Railway Construction Corporation and the Cooperation Zone can establish deep cooperation in investment, construction, and operations for this phase.
The delegation visiting the cooperation zone this time comprises eight members, including representatives from China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Asset Management Company, China Railway Construction Corporation’s 11th Bureau Group Indonesia Office, and China Railway Fourth Survey and Design Institute’s Indonesia Office.
According to available information, China Railway Construction Corporation is one of the most powerful and largest integrated construction groups in China and worldwide. In 2019, it ranked 59th on the Fortune Global 500 list and 3rd among the Top 250 Global Contractors; in 2018, it was ranked 14th on the China Top 500 Enterprises list. The company’s business spans engineering contracting, surveying, design and consulting, real estate development, investment services, equipment manufacturing, materials logistics, financial services, and emerging industries.
