Gan Chenghui Leads Delegation to the Second Belt and Road International Cooperation Summit

On April 25, Gan Chenghui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Agricultural Reclamation Bureau, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Agricultural Reclamation Group, and Chairman of the Agricultural Reclamation Group, led a delegation to attend relevant events at the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. The Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held in Beijing from April 25 to 27. This event represents China’s most important home-hosted diplomatic initiative of the year and is a landmark international gathering.

On April 25, a five-member delegation from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Council for the Promotion of International Trade, led by Li Changguan, President of the council, visited the Cooperation Zone for an inspection and research tour. The delegation was warmly received by the head of the Cooperation Zone. Accompanied by the zone’s leadership, the delegation toured the Cooperation Zone’s office building and the Mengniu Indonesia production facility, and subsequently held a symposium at the office building.

On April 13, a delegation led by Huang Zhiqiang, Deputy General Manager of China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, visited the Cooperation Zone for an inspection. The delegation included Chen Yang, General Manager of the Trade Insurance Underwriting Department and also General Manager of the Export Special Risk Underwriting Department; Zhao Zheng, Assistant General Manager of the International Affairs Department; Chen Jichao, Deputy Director of the Policy Division of the Trade Insurance Underwriting Department; and Xie Longhai, Head of the Indonesia Task Force, among others. During the visit, the delegation conducted on-site inspections of the park and local enterprises and held a symposium with representatives from the Cooperation Zone and from participating companies.

On April 14, Lin Yongchuan, Director of the Indonesia Branch of China News Service, along with one accompanying colleague, conducted a fact-finding visit to the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone. At the zone’s office building, the zone’s management team escorted Lin Yongchuan and his delegation on a tour of the park and its resident enterprises, providing a detailed briefing on the zone’s development history, locational advantages, Phase II planning, and progress in implementation. During the meeting, the zone’s leadership also shared their experiences, lessons learned, and insights gained from recent years of park development.

On March 21–22, 2019, the head of the Cooperation Zone was invited to attend the 2019 China Enterprises Going Global Risk Conference held at the National Convention Center in Beijing, as well as the 2019 Overseas Park Investment Promotion Information Session and the Corporate Overseas Investment Negotiation Fair, among other investment promotion events.

On the afternoon of March 4, a delegation of Guangdong-based logistics enterprises, including Shenzhen Yuexin Investment Co., Ltd., visited the Cooperation Zone for an inspection and research tour, accompanied by Xue Baohua, Secretary-General of the Indonesia-China Chamber of Commerce and General Manager of China Taiping Insurance Indonesia. The Cooperation Zone organized a symposium between relevant member companies of the Transportation and Logistics Branch of the Indonesia-China Chamber of Commerce and the delegation, which was attended by Li Manyi, Chairman of the Transportation and Logistics Branch.

On December 20, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce in Indonesia (hereinafter referred to as the China Chamber of Commerce) organized its member enterprises to visit the China–Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as the Cooperation Zone) to examine the progress of the zone’s development and construction. The delegation also conducted in-depth visits to Chinese-invested enterprises within the zone, including Xidian Sko Co., Ltd., Mengniu Dairy Indonesia Co., Ltd., and Wuling Motors Indonesia Co., Ltd., to gain a better understanding of how these Chinese firms are establishing and operating production facilities in Indonesia.
